Digi CMS is a construction site management platform built by Digicom, used by construction companies to manage projects — including stock & inventory, fund approvals, site reports, quality inspections, and progress photos. This policy explains what information we collect through the Digi CMS web and mobile apps, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Account information. When your organization adds you to a project, we store your name, email address, phone number, and role (e.g. Site Engineer, Contractor, Consultant, Project Manager).
- Project data you or your team enter. Site book entries, daily/weekly reports, requests for inspection (RFIs), stock and material requests, purchase orders, fund requests, concrete pour records, instructions, and similar records created while using the app.
- Photos. Progress photos you take or upload, along with any caption or tag you add.
- Location. With your permission, the mobile app uses your device’s location to tag progress photos with GPS coordinates showing where they were taken on site. Location is not collected in the background and is not used for any purpose other than photo tagging.
- Device and usage information. Standard technical information such as IP address, device/browser type, and app version, collected automatically to keep the service secure and working correctly.
2. How we use this information
- To provide the core features of Digi CMS — project tracking, approvals, reporting, and inspections.
- To authenticate you and enforce your project’s role-based permissions.
- To notify you about activity relevant to you (approvals, rejections, assignments) within the app.
- To generate exports and PDF documents (e.g. site reports, certificates) that you request.
- To maintain an audit trail of who did what, for accountability on construction projects.
- To keep the service secure, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.
3. Who can see your information
Project data is visible to other members of the same project, according to their role and permissions (for example, a Consultant may see different information than a Stock Manager). We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Digicom, our clients, or others.
4. Where your information is stored
Project data and photos are stored on servers operated for your organization. Data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to project data is restricted by the role-based permissions your organization’s administrator configures.
5. How long we keep it
We retain project data for as long as your organization’s account is active, so that historical records (reports, approvals, inspections) remain available for reference and audit. If your organization’s account is closed, data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary afterward, and then deleted.
6. Your choices
- You can decline location permission on the mobile app; progress photos will simply be uploaded without GPS tags.
- You can ask your project administrator to correct or remove account information.
- You can request a copy of, or the deletion of, your personal account information by contacting us below, subject to your organization’s record-keeping needs for the project.
7. Children’s privacy
Digi CMS is a workplace tool for construction professionals and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
